Canary Historian - Bulk Edit Tag Parameters in Excel

So in MatrikonOPC Desktop Historian (ODH) and OSIsoft PI.. both have their own Excel Add-In for admin to bulk edit / create new tags..

So how does Canary Historian approach in this matter ?
The method is a bit different but very cool..
In Canary Logger (equivalent to PI OPC Interface or PI Node).. you just click on top left.. to select all.. then you copy paste into Excel... you edit as u like.. and you copy-paste again into the Logger...

Select entire table in Canary Logger
You paste it in Excel... easy...

Canary Historian OPC HDA Server function

Ok.. continue my trial & error today..

1. Steve from Canary was kind enough to grant me 30days license. So my Canary installation on laptop is fully functional for 30 days.. yay !!

2. Steve also guided me through on how to enable OPC Historical Data Access (HDA) Server.. by default it is not running automatically.. just go to Services.msc and enable it.. simple..

3. I have successfully read data using 3rd party tools ie. MatrikonOPC HDA Explorer to prove that data flow via OPC HDA works wonderfully..

Look at my license :-P

Just turn it to Auto.. done..

Always prove test that 3rd party is able to grab data. Seeing is believing. Now OPC HDA function is fully tested.
