Workstation Audit - Detect Improper Shutdown on Windows 7

As a System Admin i hate it when my machines/system suffered improper shutdown be it due to sudden loss of power supply, improper SOP etc etc.

To recover from a crashed system / corrupted system can be very costly depending the degree of the damage. There are cases where our 3rd party plant operator did not perform proper backup - we ended up having to re-install / upgrade our software. Waste of time, resources and money !

Back to the topic, i just discovered a very cool method to detect improper shutdown in Windows 7. Heard that this method works since Windows Vista time. Unfortunately no for Windows XP.
